AI helps with this challenge by interpreting the enormous quantities of data from real-world conditions to both optimize parameters as well as predict behavior changes, such as those caused by aging. Once the vehicle is in the field, AI can collect anonymized usage data to analyze how it is being deployed and to identify potential improvements and under-utilized functions. A cellular modem in the vehicle can receive software updates that correct any issues or even add new features.

AI is a critical capability in enabling the future of mobility—from the creation of AI electronics at the heart of the autonomous car to the intelligent design and verification of the whole vehicle as well as the production process within the digital twin before building anything.
